If looks could kill and smiles could heal… Well, I’m not sure that would solve anything, but the world would be a very different place. Alas, we could all use more smiles as we end this long week before Spring Break. As I trudged across campus taking the long way back to my dorm (simply to procrastinate), I couldn’t help but wonder – what soul moving vocals and earth shattering bass are enough to chase away the pre-Spring Break blues? When I took on this series, I expected people to be hesitant but eager to inform others of their favorite artists and bands. Reflecting on this edition to the series, however, I received a lot of cold stares and uncomfortable smiles from students trekking through the Farm Lane and Red Cedar River junction. There were a fair amount of people that took interest in my inquiry, but many students were unwilling or hesitant to spare a few seconds of their time. Nonetheless, I braved the harsh weather and frigid personalities though and I believe I found an eclectic mix of music tastes that matched the student population we have here at MSU.

To the man in the running group who asked me (somewhat sarcastically) what I was listening to, I would say I was listening to Ed Sheeran at the time and I would thank you for your interest.
