The opening of the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum over the last weekend was a huge success. All the exhibitions were well visited and the tent that was pitched outside hosted the museum’s ongoing project, “The Gift.” It also featured family activities with tables for children to create their own artworks. The new museum boosts a total of three floors, with coffee and other refreshments that can be purchased on the ground floor, located right next to the education wing of the building. Exhibitions such as “In Search of Time” featured art works ranging from Damien Hirst and Salvadore Dali, while there were also motion picture exhibits. The museum aims to attract people from all over Lansing and hopefully even other parts of Michigan. Entry is free to everyone including students and donations are more than welcome.
