MSU Spring Arts and Crafts Show
The 44th MSU Arts and Crafts Show will be held at the Union on May 17 and 18.
East Lansing Art Festival
Once you’ve checked out the arts and crafts at the Union, head down the street to the East Lansing Art Festival, featuring more than 200 artists from around the state. Downtown East Lansing streets will be blocked off for the festival on May 17 and 18.
Works on Paper: Andy Warhol Photographs
The Art Museum at MSU will exhibit 150 photographs recently given to the museum by the Andy Warhol Photographic Legacy Program. The exhibit runs from May 1 to Aug. 1.
This comedic opera follows the story of lovestruck Violetta, and it will be playing at the Wharton Center on May 22. For more information about the opera, read Katie Kelly’s story in this issue.
Colors of Salsa
Colors of Salsa is a Latin music festival on June 6, and will feature live performances and a salsa cook-off. The event takes place in Lansing City Parking Lot 56.
Festival of the Sun
Celebrate the summer solstice with an icy beer at Michigan’s largest beer and wine tasting event. The festival begins at 2 p.m. on June 21 in Old Town Lansing.
Frontier Ruckus will be performing at Scene Metrospace on May 10.
Concerts in the Park: Yellow Submarine
Enjoy free outdoor concerts on Wednesdays all summer long! June 11 will feature Yellow Submarine in Frances Park in Lansing at 7 p.m.
Summer Solstice Jazz Festival
This free event celebrates jazz and the summer solstice all in two toe-tapping summer evenings. The music starts at 4:30 on June 20 and 21 in downtown East Lansing.
The Decks will be playing at the Northern Lights Lounge in Detroit on June 28.
