Student Euchre Tournament
Friday, Jan. 12, at 10 p.m. in the International Center
The University Activities Board is sponsoring a campus-wide euchre tournament. Prizes will be given to the top four teams; prizes include an iPod with an iTrip Auto or a Sony Mini Digital Video Camera. Refreshments also will be available. Register at the UAB Office, 322 MSU Union, or at the door. Sign-up with a partner or get partnered the night of the event.
MLK Student Leadership Conference
Monday, Jan. 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The program will begin with remarks from President Lou Anna K. Simon and Provost Kim Wilcox. Register on the first floor of the MSU Union or at www.diversity.msu.edu. A free lunch will be provided to all attendees.
Celebratory March to Beaumont Tower
Monday, Jan. 15 at 3:30 p.m.
The march will begin at the Union and go west toward the West circle dormitories, ending at Beaumont Tower. Following a brief motivational speech at the Tower, participants are invited to go to the MSU Museum for a special viewing of the \”Lest We Forget: The Triumph Over Slavery\” exhibit. Following the exhibit, a bus will be available at 4:30pm at the Museum for those that wish to attend the Celebratory Community Dinner at Akers Hall. Diversity Career Fair
Thursday, Jan. 18, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Kellogg Center
This inclusive event attracts more than 2,200 students and 140 employers is part of a yearlong series of workshops, networking receptions and employer information sessions on topics related to workplace diversity. Sponsored by the Career Services Network, it is open to all students and free to attend.
