Red Cedar Review Open Mic Night
Thursday, Sept. 21, from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at the Archives Book Shop on Grand River Avenue
The Red Cedar Review is holding its first Open Mic Night of this year. These Open Mic Nights are intended to promote the campus and East Lansing area literary community, offering an outlet for both students and locals to share their writing. Fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and acoustic guitars are welcome. This event is free.

MSU Study Abroad Fair
Thursday, Sept. 21, from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. on the second floor of the MSU Union
The Study Abroad Fair is a comprehensive information fair for students (and others) interested in learning more about the many exciting study abroad opportunities available at MSU. Program faculty, former participants, academic advisers, financial aid representatives, the MSU Travel Clinic, RCPD, and staff from the Office of Study Abroad will be present to answer questions. Students, faculty, and staff can also have their passport photo taken at the fair.

Building North-South Links
Thursday, Sept. 28 from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the MSU Union
The Canadian Studies Centre presents a forum focusing on public policy opportunities for strengthening Canadian-U.S. relations. This is the second annual conference, and it will feature keynote speaker Paul M. Tellier. The event is free, and pre-registration is available.

Second City Comedy Tour
Saturday Sept. 30 at 9 p.m. in the Fairchild Theater
Chicago’s legendary comedy theater The Second City will perform as a part of the University Activities Board’s Homecoming weekend. The performance will feature some of the best sketches, songs and improvisations from Second City’s more than 45-year history.

MSU Homecoming Weekend
Friday, Sept. 29 – Sunday, Oct. 1
The 2006 Homecoming Parade will be at 6 p.m. on Sept. 29. The Spartans will take on Illinois in the Homecoming Football game on Sept. 30 at 12 p.m.
